A Structured Program for Early Childhood Education

At Children’s Cottage LLC, we use a variety of proven approaches to take care of and educate kids under our supervision. Each program is designed to be a balance between play and learning so that it promotes growth without stressing the child.

The Infant Classroom

For children aged 6 weeks – 15 months old

Program Details

We have one caregiver for every four infants. A schedule is followed that aligns with each individual child's needs and necessities.

Naturally, this schedule is flexible to meet the individual needs of each child.

The highest priority for this program is the basic caretaking of the infants. This means being sure their most fundamental needs are met. These needs are clean diapers, feeding, sleeping, nurturing, and social contact as well as a clean safe environment.

The secondary function of the nursery is to provide an atmosphere in which we begin implementing our philosophy of learning. An infant nursery of this sort is a very special place.

The caregiver-child relationship makes this a setting in which there is much personal interaction and involvement. Thus, the nursery becomes a warm joyful, and fun atmosphere in which all will flourish.

The Wobblers Classroom

For children aged 15 months to 2 years old

Program Details

Our Wobblers classroom includes a large space for free play with many age-appropriate toys and activities. The children’s day takes on a more uniform schedule as they move from being infants into the toddler phase.

That’s why feeding and napping take place at the same time for all children in this program.

Additionally, teachers in this program model effective communication and sharing, as well as encourage independence.

A Wobbler’s Day Consists of:

  • Singing Songs
  • Reading Books
  • Free Play

Program Details

We believe that the children benefit more from concrete learning experiences than from artificial paper and pencil activities; that process is more important than the product.

Preschoolers are increasingly independent and are encouraged to express themselves artistically, explore academic areas of interest and further develop their social relationships.

Teachers of this program model effective communication and sharing while encouraging independence.
